Bon dia,
My name is Quinten Reiber, I am 21 years old and I come from the small village of Rijen, located between Breda and Tilburg. I am currently in my third year of the Commercial Economics program at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda. Fortunately, through my studies I was given the opportunity to do an internship abroad. For me, the choice was quickly made: I wanted to do this on the sunny island of Bonaire.
From study to practice
During my internship, I mainly worked alongside the sales department. This meant that I was involved in various aspects of real estate brokerage, ranging from property viewings to front desk duties. I was given a wide variety of tasks, which allowed me to do many different things. This greatly expanded my knowledge and gave me more insight into what I want to do in the future.
I have always been interested in real estate, and this internship was the perfect opportunity for me to discover whether this field truly suits me. Beforehand, I promised myself that I would decide after my internship whether I wanted to pursue this path. That question was answered very quickly: this is what I want to do in the future.
Enjoying the island
In addition to working five days a week at Sunbelt Realty, I was also able to fully enjoy the island during the weekends. I already knew Bonaire before going there, which was a big advantage. As a result, I already knew many beautiful places to visit, such as great snorkeling spots — something I would recommend to anyone visiting the island.

The time I spent interning at Sunbelt Realty has been incredibly valuable to me. I learned a great deal that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I owe this in large part to the friendly and dedicated team at Sunbelt, who involved me in everything and always took the time to explain things clearly.
