Bradley Wonnink

Before moving to Bonaire, I worked in the tile and bathroom industry. Building relationships with customers was central to my role: listening carefully to their wishes, exploring the possibilities and helping them make the right choice. In that sense, I was already involved in helping people shape their homes and make them their own. With that experience behind me, I came to Bonaire looking for a new challenge and a change of scenery. Today, I feel at home here and enjoy island life and the friendships I have built along the way.

I joined Sunbelt Realty in February 2025, working in vacation rentals and property management. I then had the opportunity to develop my skills in marketing, followed by long-term rentals. Now, I am moving into sales. It is an exciting next step, allowing me to use my experience and enthusiasm for real estate to help people find their own place on Bonaire.

The personal connection remains my favourite part of the job. I enjoy getting to know the people behind the property search and learning what matters to them. Having made a fresh start on Bonaire myself, I know what that experience is like. That is why I take the time to help people find a place that truly suits them.

I believe it is important to be able to communicate with local residents in their own language. That is why I took and successfully completed a Papiamentu course. I am still learning and regularly practise with local friends and people I meet in everyday life. It is rewarding to notice how the conversations are becoming easier.

In my spare time, I enjoy strength training and running. Perhaps we will meet soon at a property viewing or at the gym. And who knows, we might even have a chat in Papiamentu!
